You can tell by my last post that I like Red Sonja, but I want to stress the fact that this is really a great book. Michael Oeming writes these stories like he's lived them personally and Mel Rubi's art (especially his splash pages) are a beautiful thing to behold. I'm actually enjoying this title more then Conan and I love the new Conan series to this point.
If you're late to the game on this title your LCS can probably still get the early issues from Diamond, and if not you can definitely get them of Ebay for a song. The newest issue is #8 and it's out this week. It's the start of a new stories arc so it's a good jumping on point if you don't feel like getting the back issues. Here's a preview of #8.

SGT ROCK THE PROPHECY #3 (OF 6) - One word: Kubert
ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #28 - The best on-going Ultimate title.
WOLVERINE #40 - I buy it because I'm a sucker.
X-FACTOR #5 - Peter David should write a core "X" title. This is a fun read, but it won't last long.
X-MEN #184 - I buy it because I'm a sucker.
RED SONJA #8 - Blood, guts, and tits. Can it get any better?

Fear Agent is a comic book that's a throwback to a less serious, less "gritty reality" time in comics. It's just pure fun. Check out this Newsarama interview with the creator Rick Remender. Then go to your local comic book shop and pick up #1, 2 & 3 (3 comes out today). If your LCS doesn’t have copies of 1 and 2 they can still back order them from Diamond.
