Stuffing reprints of classic comics into newspapers around the country could get more people reading comics......maybe. Check it.
While I will never do business with him again and I would recommend that you stay away as well (his people can’t grade and his prices are insane), Chuck Rozanski of Mile High Comics has been writing Tales From The Database for CBG for several years now. It’s entertaining reading, and while anything the man says must be taken with a grain of salt, he sure can spin a tale.
My Belgium friend chromium has recently completed his Fantastic Four #1-520 set. Not only do I love his passion for the hobby, but I also appreciate the fact that he's not stuck on buying only high grade copies in order to complete his runs.
Congratulations chrom and good luck on the ASM run! I'm looking forward to the picture of #1-500.
I won't be posting for the next few days. Here's wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas!
Pages 120-125 added.
That was a very entertaining digital comic. Darkhorse will be publishing it in TPB soon so ask your LCS to order you a copy.
A 2nd trailer has been posted at http://vforvendetta.warnerbros.com/ . I'm into it. Anything with Natalie Portman in it gets my $10 at the theater.
I'm really looking forward to this one. Here's a sneek peek.
I'm back from the game. It was a lot of fun. I had great seats right on the fifty-yard line behind the Skins bench.
The Skins played terribly, but because the Cards are so bad they still managed to win 17 to 13. Thank God for Skins special teams and defense, if not for them they would have lost bad with all of their turnovers. A Redskins kickoff return for a touchdown was the "highlight" play of the day and it was right down the side of the field I was sitting on so I got to see it really well.
I almost felt sorry for the Cardinals because at least 40% of the fans at the game were Redskins fans. It was practically a home game for the Skins.
I should also mention that my girlfriend Sarah bought me the trip and the game tickets as an early Christmas present. My daughter lives in Scottsdale so I got to spent the weekend with her and take her to the game. It just dosen't get any better then that.
I'll be leaving for Phoenix tonight and I'll be back Monday morning, so no posts for te next two days. I'll be seeing the Redskins play the Cards on Sunday. Yea! The Skins may actually win this one!
One of my favorite books looses it's writer. I'm bummed. But, with Tim Truman taking over, this book could stay interesting. Time will tell.
Webcomicsreview.com has posted their "Best Of 2005" list. If web comics are your thing, or you're thinking you would like to try some out then this would be a good place to start.
It’s a long, but fascinating story of the life of a comic book storeowner, Paul Howley, of "That’s Entertainment" in Worcester, Massachusetts. It's well worth the time it takes to read. Thanks Brad for the heads up on this one.
This is a good thing, unless you're communist.
